Dr. Lovelock is a cardiac electrophysiologist, board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, and is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. He has lived in the Atlanta area for 15 years.
Dr. Lovelock received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Chicago and a cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Emory University.
Dr. Lovelock’s specialties include treating patients with fast heart rhythms, slow heart rhythms, and irregular heart rhythms including atrial fibrillation, SVT, ventricular tachycardia, PVCs, and fainting spells. He has been practicing cardiac electrophysiology for over 10 years in Gwinnett and Hall Counties. He sees patients both in the office and the hospital settings. In the hospital, he sees patients and performs electrophysiology procedures to treat arrhythmias. He also treats slow heart rhythms with pacemakers and life-threatening heart rhythms with defibrillators.
He is skilled in the following procedures:
- Cardiac ablation (atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, PVCs)
- Implantation and removal of event monitors
- Implantation of pacemakers and cardiac defibrillators including single chamber, dual chamber, biventricular, leadless, and subcutaneous devices
- Laser lead extraction to remove old, infected, or malfunctioning cardiac devices
- Electrophysiology studies (EPS)
- Dr. Lovelock cares for patients in our Lawrenceville, Snellville, Gainesville, and Loganville offices.
